Gaza protest heats up in downtown Calgary

A downtown protestover the conflict in Gaza gotloud and rowdy on Friday.

About 400 or 500Palestiniansupporters were on one side of the street near Calgary City Hall,whilea handful of Israeli supporters were on the other, say Calgary police.

Several fights broke out between protesters, but no arrests weremade, said police.

Police had tobringin extra officers to keep control of the crowd.
