Calgary and Canmore residents can start applying for pre-loaded debit cards Sunday afternoon at several locations across the city.

The cards, which range in value from $1,250 for adultsto $500 for children, are available for evacuees impacted by southern Alberta's recent floods. They were rolled out earlier this week in Nanton and Vulcan with priority given to those from High River.

Calgarians with last names from A to L can line up today at three locations across the city to apply for the cards.

Bowness High School, Connaught School and Queen Elizabeth High School are open for applicants to submit their request.

The same locations will be open Monday for those with last names from M to Z.

In Canmore, residents can apply at the Canmore recreation centre.

Anyone who was ordered to evacuate and could not return home for seven days or more is eligible.

To qualify, applicants must register with the Red Cross and bring photo I.D.
