Warrant issued for woman police say had large knife during Calgary break-in

A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a woman in relation to a northeast Calgary break-in where offenders threatened residents with a knife.

A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a woman after a northeast Calgary break-in where residents were threatened with a knife on Aug. 8.

The warrant was issued after Sarah Dawn Wilm, 30, was identified on security camerafootage, police said Thursday.

In some of the images released by police, the suspect is seen carrying a large knife concealed behind her.

Wilm is also wanted on a separate Canada-wide warrant for being unlawfully at large, police said, after breaching release conditions for unrelated charges in Saskatchewan.

She pled guilty to manslaughter charges with her mother, Rosalyn Wilm, in 2015, after a man's body later identified as Ray Allen Yacevich was found in a burned-out Regina home in 2014.

The Calgary Police Service says it has been unable to locate Wilmand believesshe may be in Regina or Saskatoon.

She is described as five-feet-four-inches with a slim build, brown hair and brown eyes.

She also has tattoos on her neck, chest and arms, as well as a notable teardrop tattoo near her right eye.
