Calgary woman charged with fraud after allegedly faking cancer

A Calgary woman who allegedly faked cancer to collect donations is now facing fraud charges.

A Calgary woman who allegedly faked cancer to collect donations is now facing fraud charges.

Police say they began investigating when Jennifer Halford claimed to be a Fort McMurray fire evacuee and breast cancer sufferer.

She is facing seven counts of fraud under $5,000 and investigators say more charges may be laid.

Halford is currently free on bail.
