Arrest warrant issued for woman charged in Beltline beating

An arrest warrant has been issued for one of the three people charged with second-degree murder in the beating death of a man in the Beltline in 2012.

Chantelle Campbell, 28, failed to show up for a preliminary hearing Monday.

She is charged in the beating death of John Fernando Herrera-Garcia, who was attacked while walking home after buying groceries.

The Colombian-born engineer was in a vegetative state before dying last year.

The charges against Campbell and two men in their 20swere then increased from attempted murder to second-degree murder.
