Nordic spa to open in Kananaskis Country

If the mountain vistas weren't relaxingenough, anordic spa is set to open soonin Kananaskis Country, bringing a new twist on the hot-warm-cold-rest-repeat Scandinavian wellness practice.

Along withseveral saunas and steam rooms, KananaskisNordic Spa will feature three outdoor pools heated to different temperatures. Plans call for meditation and massage facilities to be added.

"This is a space that reflects not only our location, but the Canadian way of life," said Jennifer Buckler, vice-president of spa development.

"The Canadian attitude, combined with our extensive knowledge of the health and wellness industries, has shaped the KananaskisNordic Spaexperience, right down to the little details."

The centre is scheduled to openMarch 2 at the Delta Lodge at Kananaskis.
