Alberta Health Services expands food recall over E. coli concerns

Alberta Health Services has expanded its recall of food products in Calgary that are potentially contaminated with E. coli. Calgary company Dashing Dishes has recalled more than a dozen of its prepared meals containing pork. They were sold up to and including Feb. 11.

Alberta Health Services has expanded its recall of food products in Calgary that are potentially contaminated with E. coli.

Calgary company Dashing Dishes has recalled more than a dozen of its prepared mealscontaining pork. They were sold up to and including Feb. 11.

The full list of recalled products include:

  • Slow Roasted Pork
  • Red Currant Slow Braised Pork with Thyme
  • Cranberry Pork Chops
  • Ginger Pork and Veggie Stir Fry
  • Honey Apple Pulled Pork
  • Sausage Lentil Stew
  • Rustic Tarragon Pork Chops
  • Maple Glazed Pork
  • SausagePeppernata
  • Honey Pecan Pork Chops
  • Jambalaya
  • Tomato Roasted Pork
  • RusticTarragon & Tomato Roasted Pork Chops

On Wednesday, AHS said several other pork products sold in Calgary were being recalled over the same concerns. Those products were supplied byHillviewMeat Processor.

Sixteen people in the greater Calgary area have so far become sick from E.coli.

Food contaminated with E.colimight not appear or smell spoiled but can stillmake people sick. Symptoms include nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramping and diarrhea.
