1 dead in hit and run in N.W. Calgary

One woman is dead after a hit and run involving three cars in northwest Calgary on Sunday morning.

The three-car collision happened at the intersection of 20 Avenue N.W. and 10 Street N.W. at about 10 a.m.

Police say a red pickup truck smashed into a light blue sedan, which caused both cars to hit a black sedan. The two men in the pickup jumped out and ran into a nearby residential neighbourhood.

Police later found the two men, and both were taken into custody.

Police say it appears the truck was stolen.

All three people in the blue sedan were taken to hospital, and a woman believed to be in her 40s later died.
