Wedding goes to dogs for Maple Ridge, B.C. couple in Tofino

Talk about a ruff ceremony. Bride and groom Shandress Griffin and Jason Griffin made their four pet dogs, decked out in bows, central to their wedding in Tofino.

A Maple Ridge couple tied the knot in Tofino, B.C. this fall flanked by their fur babies.

Shandress Griffin and Jason Griffin ensured their four dogs: Zero, Holden, Navee and Arbour were a part of their special day.

"My dogs are my world. My husband is too," Shandress Griffin told All Points West host Robyn Burns. "I live, breathe, eat, sleep and work with dogs. So there was no question they had to be part of the wedding.

"It was like heaven. It was perfect. I couldn't have imagined a better day."

The dogs, decked out in custom-made bows, were there for the nuptials all the way to the first dance.

"That was just a decision in the moment, like, yup, I want to do this," Shandress Griffin said of the first dance. "He grabbed one of the leashes and I grabbed one and we just danced with them."

Shandress Griffin said she and her husband will be welcoming a fifth dog, a little Australian Shephard, into their home in the next few weeks.
