Surrey pedestrian killed in early-morning collision

A female pedestrian was hit and killed by a truck Friday morning in the 6800 block of King George Boulevard in Surrey.

The accident happened around 7:15 a.m. PT.

The male driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police.

Roads around the scene of the accident were closed for hours while investigators triedto piece together what happened, but are now reopened.
