RCMP investigating drive-by shooting in Surrey, B.C.

Police are investigating after shots were fired at a vehicle in the Newton neighbourhood of Surrey, B.C.

Police are investigating after shots were fired at a vehicle in the Newton neighbourhood of Surrey, B.C.

It happened Wednesday afternoon at approximately 4:15 p.m. PTin the 7300 block of 125th Street.

Police say the victim was in his vehicle in the driveway of a residence when the shots were fired. They say the vehicle fled the scene and it doesn't appear the occupant was injured.

The suspect's vehicle, an older silver-coloured SUV, was also seen leaving the scene immediately after and was observedtravelling south on 125th Street towards 72nd Avenue.

Police describe the suspect as a man, wearing a black jacket and dark pants, approximately fivefeet seven inches tall, with short dark hair and a slim face.

Officers believe the shooting was targetedand say they have been in the area since the incident occurred speaking to witnesses.
