A home in Surrey, B.C., that was the target of a shooting and an arson fire last year was hit by another fire on Saturday.

The RCMP say the latest fire, which was quickly put out, is linked to a bizarre series of incidents involving the Justice Institute of B.C. and the Insurance Corp. of B.C.

Sgt. Peter Thiessen says no one was hurt in the fire at the home, which was the target of an arson last April, as well as having shots fired at it in May.

Last September, the RCMP announced an investigation intoa series of arsons and shootingstargeting the homes and vehicles of some current or former staff or students of the Institute.

Other victims were only loosely linked to the school, which trains police, firefighters, sheriffs and paramedics at a campus in New Westminster.

Police have also said their investigation foundan ICBC employee allegedlyaccessed personal information on 13 of the victims, and while the worker has been fired, no charges have been laid so far and the investigation continues.
