B.C. NDP target premier in new ad

British Columbia's Opposition New Democrats have launched a fresh attack on Premier Christy Clark, releasing an ad that casts the new Liberal leader as merely a copy of her predecessor.

British Columbia's New Democrats have launched a fresh attack on Premier Christy Clark, releasing an ad that casts the new Liberal leader as merely a copy of her predecessor.

The Opposition party has been attempting to ensure the voter anger that forced former premier Gordon Campbell from office doesn't wane just because theLiberal government has a new leader.

In the new ad, a couple sits at the breakfast table eating a fictional cereal called "Christy Crunch," which they agree tastes similar to "Campbell Crunch."

One of the actors complains the new cereal contains "artificial sweetener" before asking: "Can something taste mean?"

The NDPreleased another attack ad earlier this year during the Liberal leadership campaign, depicting the four front-runners as photocopies of Campbell.

Carole James announced her resignation last December as leader of the provincial NDP. The party will vote on a replacement April 17.
