High-speed chase and shooting in Surrey ends with crash in Delta

A high-speed car chase andshootingin Surrey, B.C., ended with a crash in DeltaMonday evening.

Surrey RCMPsay they received a call around 8 p.m. PTfroma mansayingsomeone was shooting at him in his truck, near 152nd Street and 48th Avenue in Surrey.

Thecar carrying the suspects took offand the victim followed in pursuit ofa white sedan, say police.The two vehicles raced down close to the U.S. border, onto Highway 99, and thenonto Highway 17.

According to police,a suspect in the sedancar continued shooting at the victim in the truck.

The chase ended near River Road and 80th Avenue in Delta, when the sedan crashed.Three men were foundinside with minor to moderate injuries; they were arrestedand a gun was seized, say RCMP.

All three suspects are known to police.

It's not clear if the victim was known to police, or if he knew any of the suspects.
