2nd-degree murder charge for ex-husband in Lumby death: RCMP

On Friday, RCMP announced Tatjana Stefanski's ex-husband has been charged with second-degree murder, after Stefanski's body was found in mid-April near Lumby, B.C.

Last month, Tatjana Stefanski, 44, was reported missing from the village of Lumby, B.C.

More than amonth after the death of a woman in the B.C. Interior,North Okanagan RCMP have announced a second-degree murder chargeagainst the victim's ex-husband.

On April 13,Tatjana Stefanski, 44,was reported missing from the village of Lumby, about 50 kilometres northeast of Kelowna, B.C. At the time,Lumby RCMP said shewas seenwhile speaking with her ex-husband before "departing unexpectedly with him."

One day later, RCMP say police found her body in a rural location and arrested a man nearby. The man was released from custody.

RCMP said Stefanski's ex-husband, Vitali Stefanski, was charged with second-degree murder on Friday and was in custody, pending a court appearance.
