Ian Seggie is one of tens and thousands of people who have been ordered to leave Fort McMurray, and like many, has been separated from his family.

He was at a work site away from home when the evacuation order came down, and is now driving to Calgary with a co-worker who most likely lost his home in the fire.

He says the landscape looks like a war zone.

"It looked like Bosnia."

"We drove through some of the devastation, I'venever seen anything like it. Itreally resemblesArmageddon," said Seggie, who grew up in Kitimat and lived in B.C. until 2007 before leaving for Fort McMurray to take a job.

With another hot, dry and windy day in Fort McMurray, Seggie said he fears what the next 24 hours will look like.

"It's going tobe interesting to see what or if what, we return to," he said.

"Very lucky we haven't lost any lives."
