Shooting near Langley McDonald's likely targeted, say police

A man who was shot and wounded in a McDonald's parking lot on Sunday evening was likely a targeted victim, according to Langley RCMP.

But it is too early to say if the shooting is related to a fatal shooting earlier in the day in the 23700 block of 72 Avenue, said Cpl. Holly Largy Monday.

She said the Greater Vancouver Zoo parking lot is also part of the investigation.

Police officers were called to the McDonald's parking lot in the 26400 block of 56 Avenue around 7 p.m. PT for reports of gun fire.

When they arrived they found a 29-year-old Mission man suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

He was previously known to police, saidLargy, but his identity has not been released.
