Former B.C. Lion guilty of 2 sex assaults

A former player with the B.C. Lions has been found guilty of committing two sexual assaults inVancouver.

Josh Boden, 24,was chargedafterVancouver police officers reported seeing him fondling a woman at the Burrard and Commercial Drive SkyTrain station on Aug. 25, 2009.

Police attempted to arrest him, but he ran awayand was eventuallytaken down after a violent struggle.

After being arrested, Boden was also charged with sexually assaulting a woman on Aug. 13, 2009, in her office building.

Police issued a rare warning to the publicafter Boden was released on bail, saying in a release that he posed, "a significant risk to the community."

On Friday in a Vancouver provincial court, Boden was also found guilty of assaulting a police officer and obstructing a police officer.

Bodenwill now undergo a psychiatric assessment and a pre-sentencing reportbefore returning to courtin the new year for sentencing.

Boden was with the Lions as a wide receiver in the 2006-07 CFL season and played one game with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2008.
