North Vancouver's Lynn Canyon claims another life

One man is dead after an apparent drowning in North Vancouver's Lynn Canyon Friday afternoon.

One man is dead after an apparent drowning atNorth Vancouver's Lynn Canyon Friday afternoon, police say.

RCMPwere called to the park at about 5 p.m. PT after witnesses saw a young man go under the water in a popular swimming areanear the park's suspension bridge.

Officials say it's now a recovery operation.

The park including the suspension bridge is now closed.

Police say the drowned man waspart of a group of four people in their early twenties who were swimming.

The other three men are being interviewed.

RCMP have not confirmed whether the men were cliff jumping into the 90foot pool,a popular pastime in the park.
