Desire Dawson plays CBC Musical Nooners July 20

Desire Dawson is a singer-songwriter from Surrey B.C. She was this years winner of the CBC Searchlight competition. She plays the free concert series, CBC Musical Nooners, on July 20.

CBC Searchlight winner, Desire Dawson,brings her ukulele to the CBC MusicalNoonersstage ThursdayJuly 21. The concert begins at 12:00 PM and ends at 1:00PM.

CBC MusicalNoonersarefree, live music concerts that take place every weekday on theCBC Vancouver outdoor stage.

Desire Dawson is a singer-songwriter and a Surrey B.C. native.

In May 2016 she won theCBC Music'sSearchlightcompetition, earning the grand prize valued at $50,000.

She has collaborated with world renown producerArminvan Buuren's labelArmada Music.

The ukulele player describes her sound as indie-soul.She is currently working onher first EP.

The CBC MusicalNoonersarea series of free, live music concerts every weekdayfrom noon to 1 p.m. PTat the CBC Vancouver Plaza on Hamilton Street (between West Georgia andRobson streets).
