Stabbed teen in critical condition, 3 young offenders facing charges in Delta, B.C.

An 18-year-old stabbing victim remains in hospital in critical condition after being stabbed multiple times in a fight near Burnsview Secondary School in Delta Saturday night.

Three teens are facing charges of aggravated assault in relationto a stabbing that has left another 18-year-old manin critical condition.

All three were arrested fleeing the crime scene near Burnsviews Secondary School in Delta Saturday night. They remain in custody and are young offenders who cannot be identified.

Delta police were called just after 11 p.m. PT and arrived to find a young man with "significant stab wounds" being treated by emergency workers,saidDelta Sgt. Ciaran Feenan.

Feenan said the stabbing happened in an open areanear a park, schools and common dog walking places, close toBurnsview Secondary School in the7600block of 112th St.

Police say the incident appears to be a fight between teenagers that escalated to an extreme level.

Although the stabbing took place on school property, police say they are confident there is no connection between the fight and the school.
