IHIT finds suspect in fatal Port Coquitlam stabbing

A week after a fatal stabbing in a Port Coquitlam parking lot, investigators have found the man suspected of killing 65-year-old Robert Vidovich.

Police have found the person suspected of fatally stabbing a man in a Port Coquitlam parking lot earlier this month.

Earlier on Tuesday they werewarning the public that 34-year-old James IvanMeanneywas at large and considered armed and dangerous.

A second-degree murder charge has been approved against Meanney. It's alleged he stabbed 65-year-old Robert Harold Vidovichin the parking area of Shaughnessy Square Shopping Centre on August 7, but then fled the area.

It's not known whether Meanney and Vidovich knew each other, or what the motivation of the attack was.
