Watch a CBC News conversation about climate change

It's hard to forget the dramatic weather events that occurred in B.C. in 2021. We witnessed record-breaking heat waves, wildfires, mudslides and devastating floods. For so many of us, it felt like one natural disaster after another.

Climate change continues to wreak havoc across the country, and its impact on our changing planet is one of the most pressing stories of our time.

So, how should the media talk about climate change?

On April 21, CBC News brought the conversation to Grade 11 and 12 students across the country in an exclusive virtual event, CBC Asks: How Should Media Talk About Climate Change?

The event was hosted by CBC Radio What on Earth's Laura Lynch with CBC News' panelists Anand Ram, Johanna Wagstaffe and Avneet Dhillon.

The conversation was geared to Grade 11 and 12 students and will support curriculum learning objectives in world issues, media, science, social and environment studies and citizenship.
