1 person dead after Highway 50 crash near Buckingham, Que.

One person is dead after a crash on Highway 50 near Buckingham, Que., overnight.

The collisionhappened at around midnight near the Lepine Avenue exit, police said.

A car hit a transport truck and burst into flames. An autopsy will be performed to identify the driver of the car.

The driver of the truck suffered only minor injuries.

Highway 50 was closed in both directions near the crash site on Tuesday morning.
