Sci-fi series Orphan Black to air final season in 2017

Acclaimed clone conspiracy thriller Orphan Black, staring Regina-born actress Tatiana Maslany, will air its fifth and final season in 2017, its creators have announced.

The acclaimed clone conspiracy thriller will air its fifth andfinal season on Space next year.

The series will conclude with 10 one-hour episodes on Space.

Regina-born actress Tatiana Maslany picked up a Golden Globenomination in 2014 and an Emmy nomination last year for playing acollective of clone sisters on the sci-fi series.

While working on Orphan Black, Tatiana Maslany has also appeared in films, including staring in Kim Nguyen's latest feature film Two Lovers and a Bear. (Max Films)

Series co-creators John Fawcett and Graeme Manson say they're excited to deliver an "epic conclusion"to the story of leadcharacter Sarah and her siblings.

The season 4 finale of the Peabody-winning series airs Thursdayon Space.
