Justin Bieber debuts as Calvin Klein underwear model

Justin Bieber is Calvin Klein's newest celebrity underwear model, and photos of the Canadian pop star, shirtless alongside Dutch supermodel Lara Stone, predictably whipped his legions of fans into a frenzy.

Calvin Klein's website launched the campaign page for its jeans and underwear collection for spring 2015 on Wednesday, covered in photos and videos of Bieber wearing boxer briefs and little to nothing else, as the camera lingers on his bare chest and what The Guardian's fashion blog calls "his familiar 'who me?' look of bemusement."

Stone, the Dutch supermodel who Forbes ranked eighth in the top earning models in the world in 2012, appears in several photos embraced by Bieber.

Photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott shot the black-and-white pictures, which are similar in style and tone to their 1992 Calvin Klein collaboration with Mark Wahlberg, then better known as Marky Mark.

Bieber posted a photo from the shoot to his Twitter and Instagram accounts Wednesday morning, sending millions of his teenaged fans into apoplectic levels of adoration. The heartthrob has 21 million followers on Instagram and nearly 59 million followers on Twitter.

The pop star, who grew up inStratford, Ont., had a rough 2014 that included multiple run-ins with the law and making the top of the worst celebrity neighbours list in a poll by Ipsos.
