Shelby Bain began dancing at the age of five and by the time she was six, she was dancing competitively. Soon after that, Shelby kicked off her professional career appearing in the American Girl movie Isabelle Dances Into the Spotlight as well as the TV series Backstage for Family Channel and Netflix. Shelby has become known in over 120 countries around the world for her performance as Amy in the hit series The Next Step. Her character arrived at The Next Step studio in season four and has remained a permanent member of the troupe for three seasons and over 75 episodes!

Shelby has completed many promotions across Canada including Family Channels Big Ticket Concert and in the UK with CBBC! She has performed in live concerts around the world including cities across Australia, New Zealand, and throughout the United Kingdom. Shelby can be seen as Sarah Pinkerton in the Lifetime Network movie Believe Me. Up and coming, you can spot Shelby in Tammys Always Dying, a Jessica Adams Production.
