Lisa Xing

Lisa Xing is a reporter and host with CBC News in Toronto focusing on provincial affairs and investigative stories. Lisa also produces documentaries for CBC Radio.

Xing has extensively covered Ontario politics, elections at all levels of government and the impact of COVID-19 on Ontario's health care system. She has also produced several series including features on the mishandling of sexual assaults on Ontario's university campuses, how accents affect public perception, and the flawed and lucrative system that brings hundreds of thousands of international students to Canada each year.

She was formerly the host of CBC Windsor News at Six. She has reported from various cities across Canada and from South Korea. 

Xing is a photographer and creative writer. Her photos and stories have been published in various international newspapers and books. She has also spent time in an Indian village in the Himalayas documenting a local NGO's efforts in bringing digital literacy to women with Photographers Without Borders.

Xing was born in China and grew up in Canada. She has an M.Sc. in the History of International Relations at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
