9 OTT holiday gifts for the dog who has everything

What do you get the dog in your life who has everything? Here's the ultimate list of gifts to get your four-legged best friend.
(Casper)

It's the most wonderful time of the year. The time to spread love and joy.

But what about the little ones in your life? No, not those ones. We're talking about the four-legged fur balls that have more than enough toys and treats already. What do you get them?

Here are nine new holiday gift ideas for the K9 at the top of your list:

1) Baxter Xsmall Dog Collar Louis Vuitton $440

(Louis Vuitton)

When you think of a Louis Vuitton dog collar you probably think of celebs like Paris Hilton (where did she go? Paris, DM us), and those with too much money to function. But like with every Louis Vuitton not only are you paying for the name, you're paying for quality.

This little ditty will set you back a cool $440, but you know it'll last for the lifetime of Sprinkles. And the bow is removable, in case you're not into that sort of thing.

2)Casper dog bed$150

(Casper)

The Casper dog bedisn't like every other dog bed. It's engineered by the same team behind the Casper mattress, so you know your pooch is getting the greatest sleep possible and can dream peacefully about chasing all of those squirrels.

The Casper dog bed will run you about $150 but thanks to our friends at Casper, CBC Life is giving you a chance to win your very own! Details on how to win are below.

3) Dog Carrier Louis Vuitton $3,550

(Getty)

If you decided to splurge on a Louis Vuitton dog collar, the only natural next step is to pick up this LV dog carrier.

The carrier is resistant to water and scratches and even comes equipped with a double zip-around closure and a breathable mesh window so Loveita can breathe. Namaste.

4) Petzi Treat Cam $169

(Petzi)

Was Angus a good boy while you're away? Treat him. The Petzi Treat Cam is exactly how it sounds. Fire up the app, take a look at the camera and see if he's behaving himself, then drop him a treat and watch him go nuts.

It's even got audio so you can talk to him, and nightvision if it's getting late.

5) Barkbox 20$/month subscription

(Barkbox)

Barkbox is a monthly subscription service that takes the guess work out of gift giving for Comet. Each month the curators at Barkbox will send you 4 - 6 innovative toys and healthy treats. The boxes are themed each month so your pup won't get bored and say "Not another Barkbox *eyeroll*".

They've also got a replacement guarantee. If for whatever reason, Comet isn't having any of it, they'll send you a new box completely free. You can also post his haul on his Instagram page cause that's a thing these days.

6) Dog Umbrella $13

(Aliexpress)

This dog umbrella is listed as a 'gag gift' but I find it a completely functional piece of equipment to add to your dog arsenal.

The umbrella keeps Lola dry on those dark and stormy walks, and also comes complete with a leash to make sure she doesn't run away.

7) Test your dog's DNA $85

(Amazon)

This one, I'll admit, is a bit OTT. But as a serious journalist, I must present all options.

Wisdom Panel is a DNA test that will give you all the necessary information about your pet to make sure they live the healthiest and best life possible.

It will find out the ancestry of your pet, predicted weight profile, testing for the MDR1 genetic mutation, and testing for Exercise-induced Collapse (EIC). Sadly, it won't tell you how long your dog will live. We'll leave that up to the "professionals".

8) Forbo Pet Bowl$30

(The Green head)

For the diva dog in your house, I present to you the FroBo Pet Bowl.

The FroBo pet bowl "contains a freeze core that keeps your pet's water cold all day, encouraging dogs and cats to stay cool and hydrated."

9) Dog Treadmill - Starting at $429

(Amazon)

Is your dog getting a little thick? Or are you just a little bit lazy?

Pick up a treadmill to take your pet from fat to fit in no time. It comes in multiple sizes for different dog weights. We can't guarantee your dog will actually want to walk on this thing, but with a starting price of $429, what could go wrong?
