How do we experience distance? What do we do to traverse it? And how do we form connections across it? At a time when our divisions may feel deep, art can help us find new ways to build bridges.

CBC Arts Think Like An Artist asks some of Canadas best-known artists for wisdom, inspiration and problem-solving advice. This year, for Nuit Blanche Toronto, weve made a special edition of Think Like An Artist in collaboration with the talents behind the festival. In response to its theme, we asked a dozen participating artists: Whats a creative strategy for bridging distance?

Draw a card and let chance inspire you, or browse until you find the wisdom you seek. Use these cards as guides for inspiration and contemplation. Learn how you can Think Like An Artist to bridge distance and make greater connections.
