PC Daryl Kramp elected in HastingsLennox and Addington

Progressive Conservative Daryl Kramp has been elected in the new riding of HastingsLennox and Addington.

New riding includes a number of rural townships, Napanee, Tweed and part of Belleville

Progressive Conservative Daryl Kramp has been elected in the new riding of HastingsLennox and Addington.

With all polls reporting, Kramp, a former Conservative MP in the region, has 50.3 per cent of the vote and a 8,179 vote lead over his nearest challenger. His closest competitor, NateSmelle, an artist and journalist running for theNDPis second with 32.1 per cent of the vote.Liberal candidate Tim Rigby, a former teacher finished in third with 11.5 per cent of the vote.

HastingsLennox and Addingtonis a new ridingthat includesa number of rural townships as well as Napanee, Tweed, Bancroft and part of Belleville.

The riding consists of 90 per cent of the former Prince EdwardHastings ridingand 30 per cent of the former LanarkFrontenacLennox and Addingtonriding.

Also running in the riding were:

  • Sari Watson, for the Green Party.
  • Lonnie Herrington, for the Trillium Party.
  • Greg Scholfield for the Ontario Libertarian Party.
