First and foremost, J.D. Renaud is a hell of a good storyteller.

The show regalesus with fantastic storiesand the truth and lies that weave throughout them. Performers use lies to tell the truth, but whose truth? Renaud takes us behind the curtain andshows us what goes into the 'hotdogs'ofstorytelling, trying to find the heart of what connects us to truth andmoments of human connection.

It's a heck of a roller coaster ride. At times, Renaudisfrustrating - it'slike he explaines storytelling as a magic trick then revealshow he doesit. But this is needed to lay thegroundwork to build to his deconstructing - and going truly meta- with his final act.

To his credit, I can't stop thinking about his show.
