Each year, on the day before the Royal St. John's Regatta is scheduled, hundreds of St. John's residents take their chances on partying in what's become known asRegatta Roulette.

If you win, you get a day to sleep it off. But if you lose, you're in for a long day at work on a Wednesday.

According to Larry Dohey, the manager of collections at The Rooms, it's a tradition that's as old as the Regatta itself.
