Vancouver Police declined to answer any questions at the scene of the incident, but officers took one woman away in handcuffs.

It's unclear if that arrest is directly related to the violent incident, and the suspect kept repeating, "Why are you arresting me? I didn't do anything!"

Several people could be seen in the apartment building lobby speaking with officers and filling out witness statements.

At one point a group of peoplesome covering their faces were escorted into a waiting van and taken away by police.
