Cargo ship and 22 crew members in limbo in waters near Victoria

A containership and its 22 member crewremains stranded off the coast of Victoria, seven weeks after the financialcollapse of the company operating the vessel.

Korea's Hanjin Shipping went in to receivership at the end of August and the 279 metreHanjin Vienna has been in legal limbo ever since.

According to reports the crew on the ship are being well cared for andsupplies are being delivered to the ship thanks to the German company which owns the vessel.

Both the Hanjin Vienna and the Hanjin Scarlett, which was inPrince Rupert when the financial troubles hit, were placed under arrest last month due to millions of dollars inunpaid bills.

It's not clear when the legalissues will be resolved.

Officials say the HanjinVienna, which is anchored at Constance Banks near Victoria, does not pose a hazard.
