The product of a collaboration between a high school art class and anartist residency in Lennoxville'sAlexander GaltRegional High Schoolis now on display at the Foreman Art Gallery.

Students worked with Montreal artists Maya Ersan and Jaimie Robson known professionally as the artist collective"Mere Phantoms"over a six-week period to create the show. In Mere Phantoms' signature style, the work blends traditional paper cutting with shadows to create an immersive experience.

Though the art itself is only about three feet tall, people visiting the gallery are given flashlights to create shadows on the walls using the paper sculptures.

The art was inspired by landscapes you might see in the Eastern Townships. The show is called "100 miles around us."
