Bell Island house fire looks suspicious to police

Police on Bell Island say a fire at an old home appears to be suspicious.

A resident of Bell Island reported to seeing sparks coming from a house on Ford Street around 10:30 p.m.

The fire was nearly extinguished by members of the fire department by the time the RCMParrived on the scene.

No one was inside the home at the time of the fire.

The investigation is continuing.
