Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri resigned again after the latest failure to form a new government. And as Hariri and President Michel Aoun trade blame, the country sinks deeper into economic devastation.

The currency has lost 95 percent of its value since 2019, pushing many Lebanese into poverty. Food, medicine and fuel are in short supply.
International donors, including the US and France, are frustrated at the lack of progress on reforms.
