Thousands of migrants and refugees are stuck along the border between Belarus and Poland, a member of the European Union.
Neither country wants to take them in, leaving them in limbo as temperatures drop before the European winter.

European officials have accused Belarus of using migrants and refugees as retaliation for EU sanctions against the government of Alexander Lukashenko.
