Israel has confirmed the identity of the remains handed over by Hamas, saying they belong to Israeli soldier Hadar Goldin, who was killed in 2014.
Israeli forces continue attacks on Palestinians in Gaza despite the ceasefire, killing one man in the central Bureij refugee camp and two others in northern and southern parts of the territory.
In the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces have killed a Palestinian man in the Far’a refugee camp, south of Tubas, while Israeli settlers have continued attacks on Palestinian farmers across the territory.
Israel’s war on Gaza has killed at least 68,875 Palestinians and wounded 170,679 since October 2023. A total of 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the October 7, 2023, Hamas-led attacks, and about 200 were taken captive.
